Although Emily continues to recover from a spinal cord injury, she is a prolific painter. Emily is always questioning her process. She is continually evolving and does not shy away from experimenting with different paint mediums. Variations of textures, brush strokes, and colors, are all intended to create an original final result. She challenges her inner self with every blank canvas she chooses to face. She dives into a subconscious realm that reveals itself through her use of mark making. It is a primitive exploration elevated to a level where the viewer can relate to these active abstract creations. The paintings initiate growth due to their investigative qualities, making the pieces of great value, an experience worth beholding.
