ART/BPT/2013/DETAILS

A visual scavenger hunt for artists and viewers

ART/BPT was the annual Bridgeport-themed exhibit that began the year of events and exhibited at at City Lights, Jan. 25-Feb. 22, 2013

In our busy days we often neglect to take enough time to slow down and appreciate the details that create the amalgam of our existential experience, in other words all the stuff in our lives and how they are interrelated and affect us. In art, the details need to be unified through good design and craft to appropriately expresses or fulfill the intention of the piece. This exhibit was designed to encourage creative thinking and critical observation.

The exhibit also featured “Made In Bridgeport” jewelry by Robin Gilmore and 4 photographs by different artists of the same detail of People’s United Bank.

Exhibiting artists include: Maralyn Adlin, Latanya Barret, Michelle Beaulieu, Jeff Becker, Tom Brenner, Karen Ciocca, Kevin Conklin, Penny Cook, Maggie DeCapua, Cliff Furnald, Christy Gallagher, Steve Gerber, Lysbeth Guillorn, Robin Gilmore, Jay Misencik, Andy Pinto, Tom Savard, Vanessa Strubbe, Yolanda Vasquez Petrocelli, Francesca Winfield, Mary Witkowski.
